2a West Rankings
Cross Country 2014
A reminder that these rankings are based on a mathematical formula used by Carroll County, Montgomery County and West Virginia. In every ranking system there is flaws. This is just one way that is used, and we thought it was a neat way to do it. Use these as a motivator. They are meant to encourage cross country in our area. To understand it better, read about HOW IT WORKS We used the 2013 rankings as a baseline, but there may be a lot of changes, especially in team scores, early on, because we still need to determine what athletes came out for the team and what athletes did not. There was no opinion involved. Also, only individuals with positive points will be listed below, but we will track every athlete in the top 7 of each team. Based on these rankings team scores will be below. We will see how this goes, and if people find it interesting on whether we will continue this.
